Praveg Solar is a solar energy brand focused on making solar adoption more accessible through customer-focused solutions and communication.
After covering several conventional solar-related topics, Monkey Ads wanted to introduce a fresh creative direction that could make Praveg Solar’s content more recognizable, entertaining, and relatable.
The idea was to create a recurring character that could become part of the brand’s long-term communication.
The Challenge
Solar content often revolves around familiar topics such as electricity savings, installation, and benefits. Since Praveg Solar had already explored many of these subjects, the challenge was to introduce something new without losing the brand’s core message.
The content needed to capture attention quickly while connecting with different audience groups through entertainment and relatable storytelling.
The Creative Idea – Suryadevji
Monkey Ads introduced Suryadevji, a character inspired by the Sun God, representing the source of solar energy.
The character was developed to bring personality, humour, and familiarity into Praveg Solar’s communication.
Instead of relying only on traditional product-led content, Suryadevji allowed the brand to communicate solar-related messages through an entertaining and recognizable character.
Strategy and Execution
The campaign featured two Suryadevji-centric reels, along with short-form Ultra Shots lasting approximately 20–30 seconds.
These Ultra Shots featured Suryadevji delivering quick, impactful messages in just a few lines, using a short-form content approach that Monkey Ads had successfully used in earlier campaigns.
Alongside this, the team created an emotional family-focused reel featuring a grandfather explaining the importance of solar energy to his granddaughter. The storyline followed a problem-solution approach, highlighting his earlier concerns and how choosing Praveg Solar addressed them.
This balanced entertaining, character-led content with relatable family storytelling, making the communication relevant to different audience segments.
